Manga Babylon was a prototype website for studying language by reading manga. Users could study a language by reading manga in that language. If a user gets stumped, they just click on the text to see the text in their native language. New mangas and translations are user-submitted. Users also gain valuable practice by translating to or from their study language, or revising translations with wiki-style edits. MangaBabylon could easily support any number of language options. Below are a few screenshots from the prototype in development.
